DSA and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Launch New Research Collaboration

DownSyndrome Achieves (DSA) today announced a research initiative in partnership with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles focused on neurological health in individuals with Down syndrome.

Through this partnership, DSA is helping advance work aimed at improving knowledge, care, and future outcomes for people with Down syndrome.

The announcement reflects DSA’s ongoing commitment to meaningful collaboration with leading institutions in the field.

For families and caregivers, this initiative represents important progress. By advancing studies in neurological health, DSA is helping move the field toward earlier insight and better long-term care for individuals with Down syndrome.

“This partnership reflects the kind of progress we want to help make possible,” said DownSyndrome Achieves CEO Lito Ramirez. “We are proud to support research that can deepen understanding of Down syndrome and contribute to better care over time.”

“This research is focused on improving our understanding of neurological changes in individuals with Down syndrome and helping build a stronger foundation for earlier, more personalized care,” said Dr. Jonathan Santoro, Chief of Neurology and Co-Director for the Neurological Institute at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Through this work, DSA is contributing to continued progress for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
