DownSyndrome Achieves is pleased to announce that Jason Widmer has been appointed as Chair of the DownSyndrome Achieves Board, effective immediately. He has served on the DownSyndrome Achieves Board as a director since 2016.
Jason currently serves as Chief Engineer for Honda R&D Americas where he oversees vehicle research and development for all Honda and Acura vehicles developed in North America.
“As the father of a young adult daughter with DS, I’m incredibly honored to help lead this organization into its next phase of growth,” Widmer said. “Our primary goal is to work hand-in-hand with our researcher partners here and abroad, and collection clinics across the U.S. to accelerate the pace of scientific discoveries that can ultimately improve the quality of life for our loved ones with DS, and others.”
